repotting?

I recently bought an umbrella plant that has a very thick bundle of branches at the base of the dirt. I know that i have to repot it but i am not sure how to because of the amount of stems. any help is great.

Trim and remove anything dead, dying, discolored, and any small new growth if you have to. Repot and cover the soil with big rocks so your Cham cannot eat the soil.
