repti-carpet

first i had eco-earth coconut fiber based soil, it was a pain in the ass to clean, dead crickets that i didn't find right away began to mold, roaches burried themselves in it, and i swear i saw my chameleon accidentally miss some food and eat a chunk of soil so i immediately went out and got some repti-carpet, now i can just take a vaccuum to it and its clean, and no mold... are there any skeptical views on this?

As long as you cant pull pieces of it off with your fingers it should be ok, if you clean it often. I tryed the Moss Mat..... had to pull a hunk of it outta my panthers butt!!..... It imediately went in the trash!!!

Where in Wisc are you? Dave

Davonat is right I have moss matt from I think same company. It does tear easier. However if it is not. let me no exactly the name I need to my eyes open for another type. Also theres biosheld from pro products. I use it to spray on and it protect against bad bacteria and mold alge and other things .. it says for 90 days but company said sometimes up to 6 months for certain things. Its working great for me because real moss is not good when im watering 30 mins a day. This is working great and not smelling at all. I also have a drain in bottom so the matt does not for some reason let water through it all goes to drain.

I use zoo med repti carpet, not the moss kind, just a plain flat carpet, each Cham has two peices so when one becomes wet and needs changing, the other one dries, I just alternate back and forth, works fine for me.

ya i dont have the moss one and the one i have you would have to cut with scissors to get anything off of it. and how the hell did he get it in his but haha:eek: im located in Monroe which actually isnt too far from you, about an hour and a half i think. only 45 minutes south of madison

I use repti carpet I love it. Rinse it off with easy and a dryer dries it in like 5-8 minutes!
Very easy and efficient and looks clean. I dont have experience with the exo-terra version.

I use repti carpet and I love it. I use it for all my reptiles. chameleons, Bearded Dragons, Fat-tails, Day Gekco, even my water dragon has a area of his tank that is " land" is repti carpet. Great product! Easy to clean and low maintenance.
I have never tried the moss mats. but this is JMHO :D

i just use plastic. water drains in the drainage and when i need to clean dead leaves and waste i just take the screen off the drain and wipe it all down the hole and dump the bucket.
