do you have access to reptiSUN 5.0 instead?
I believe it is the same price but much much more effective in giving UVB light.
some members use reptisun 10.0 when they have reptarium since the plastic mesh block 50% of the UVB.
But, the light cannot be right on the screen of the top cage. You got to raise the light about 6" higher.
Again, find reptiSUN if possible.
ReptiSUN is far more superior than the GLO.
Make sure it's the TUBE not the Compact one.

be aware that 10.0 if used improperly can cause health problems..
So, proper installation have to be done.
5.0 is a foolproof light. It is what i used all the time.
and I put it on top of the cage.
But, the distance between the basking branch to the UVB light is 6".
be aware that i am using aluminum screen cages and i live in area that has sun all year around, i can use 5.0 in addition to the real light.
I will let you decide what is the best course for your situation.

It's not that 10.0 can cause health problems. it's poorly manufactured UVB bulbs that cause problems. so you can get 10.0 with no problems as long as your using a quality brand (exoterra or zoo-med)

If your enclosure is deep and well planted (shade) and your going to put it on top of the cage (tight screening blocks uva/uvb) I would use a 10.0 floresent tube. With that being said most people use the 5.0 and some other form of lighting (not a uva/uvb form) to support the plant life.

I think people are sometimes confused as to the difference between the 5.0 and the 10.0 and with which one to go with. The Reptisun 5.0 and 10.0 will emit UVB in the same nanometer range, or within the UVB range. The 5.0 will only penetrate downward to about 12" where as the 10.0 will reach from 22-24." The sun shines UVB onto the earth through a small nm window. From 290-320nm. And while most bulbs claim that they produce a certain amount of UVB. Tests have shown that ReptiSUN has the highest D3 yield index out of any bulb. The only difference is the 10.0 bulbs UVB rays travel a little further. They are good for tall or mesh cages.

Not a problem. Always glad to help. Gotta correct myself though the sun produces UVB in the 280-320nm range. But there is a plateau effect in the range. Meaning you will still see the same D3 yield index results from 315-320nm as you would from 280-285nm due to the plateau effect. So it's not a matter of emitting too much UVB cause too much doesn't do any good. That's why most UVB bulbs will only emit rays in the 290-310nm range. Anything past 310nm and the D3 yield index just diminishes. Here are some good links that can help you understand lighting.

Here is what i have on the subject.
At 8" which is a reccomended basking distance:
10.0-55uW/cm2
5.0 -27uW/cm2
So it seems to me the 10.0 is twice as powerfull as the 5.0. The UVB maybe between 280-320nm, but is has to be if it is UVB.

this page shows you how to use a reflector (just using simple tinfoil in your fixture!) and measurements of UVB from the reptiglo and reptisun. its awesome. take a few minutes to check it out, i was amazed how straightforward and easy it was to understand.
BTW, the 10.0 will be stronger because it is double the UVB output as the 5.0 (5% vs 10%), so i recommend that you place the basking spot about 8-10" from the bulb. please make sure to place it on the outside of the cage so that your cham will not get burned or overexposed. i personally use the 5.0 but i am using aluminum screen where you are using the reptarium mesh. good job in your decision for the 10.0
