Some helpful stuff..... for the show

2.) Basking Bulb - you will save a ton if you use regular house bulbs. I find them $2 for 8 of them.

7.) Crickets - Usually they give out crickets by the 500 count or so. Stop by the big feeder display (can't remember their name) and they hand out crickets , supers , wax worms and other cool stuff.

6.) Umbrella or Ficus if I can find one there - LLL will have Ficus plants but you would be better off stoping by Home Depot. They charge $20 for a $11 plant.

For your Flies, animals and water crystal needs stop by TikiTiki Reptiles

remember to look up the price of supplies you will buy from LLL . They will match the price but do mark up stuff at the show. Example they will try to charge $20 for a reptisun bulb but are only $13.99. They will match if you bring it up. Also ask them about their 10% discount on animals through Jan 4. It is online but I bet they will match that price too.

Yeah I have a house bulb now but my panther doesn't seem to get enough heat off it cause it hangs upside down under the light. seems like that's the only place he gets heat from.

If the temps are right then its ok. Some just like to hang under the light. He should out grow it.

I wish I could go... but I live in Ontario, Canada... long drive :(
Anyone know of any in my area?

Just got off the phone with Mike. I'm really excited about the selection of animals he's bringing and hopefully a couple new panthers will be coming home with us on Sunday night :D Megan and I are gonna have to go watch the Chargers game immediately after the event closes Saturday night but then would be open to meeting everyone after say 8:30 or so.

Ryan - I need to hire you to talk me up before the big shows.... Send me a PM and we'll negotiate LOL.

No need to negotiate I work "pro bono publico" and have been hard at work shamelessly promoting this show and all the great people that will be there to everyone who will listen. :D My sister and some co workers have tortoises and are very interested in stopping by BlueBeast Reptiles booth. Herpmist (I think they will be there) and FL chams have been on the list of got to see booths at the show.

I'm not the only one at work in the promotion dept. KROQ (Very popular radio station in LA/OC area) Just had a commercial on for the reptile show a few minutes ago.

You wouldn't be as excited if he had shipped them all to you and expected you to come up with housing for them all! They really do look good - it's been a while since I had chams around, and these are nice fat healthy ones with full bellies on them all.

I've still got a trailer to paint tomorrow. I decided today to scrap the old chameleon logo that was on the side of it, and it left some oddball looking fade marks on it. I have a new tortoise logo ready to go, but with bright white (under the old logo) contrasting faded white, I'm going to attempt to paint it tomorrow and get the logo on before Friday morning. Gotta love show prep.

I'm still looking for an alternative to Outback. Tradition or not, they have a pretty dissapointing steak for a steakhouse.

Outback is good Tyler...but if we don't go there, my vote is for BJ's like was suggested earlier! I LOVE that place...it's sooo good. And kent, I'll bet they'd have the Chargers game on there for sure too b/c it's a big brewery place! Then I can watch too :) We'll all decide on something for sure on Saturday AM.
