this is a dechlorinator right?... is it similiar to exo terra aquatize?? i have some of the latter but if they are drastically different products then i might have to switch

We have great water here in Denver.
I don't treat it in any way what-so-ever.....straight from the tap!

if you have fish, you can use those for the aquarium.
the reptisafe puts electrolytes in the water as well.. so, it gives the water more hydration..
but, you guys are right, it's not really needed.. except if your tap water contains high chlorine.
