Reptisun T5 HO

So I've been meaning to try these bulbs but apparently they don't make/ I can't find any sizes to fit my light fixtures...

I have a 24" fixture holding a 18" bulb and a 30" fixture holding a 24" bulb.

Do they design these bulbs only to fit their Zoomed terrarium hoods to handle the higher output? I can't find a clear answer on this.

And so does every person using one of these bulbs have a zoomed fixture then?

You need to have a T5 HO hood, not even a regular T5 hood will do. Unless you had a high end saltwater hood, you are out of luck on these new bulbs.

The bulbs will fit in any T5 HO hood. They are high output (double T8, 54 watts for 42") and thinner (20% more light per watt than t8).

Because I ordered 20 four footers I called and got a bit of a discount, and then mentioned that I didn't need the tubes because I was using for lizards and got a bit more knocked off for just the fixtures and reflectors.

Even without the discounts at $32 you probably won't ever find as inexpensive for t5 HO fixture + reflector.

If you're just doing one or two cages, and they're 24 x24 x 48, the odyssea quad setup is really nice for the money. It has a built in timer, and only one cord. It comes with 4 65k bulbs that are great for growing plants. I just swapped one bulb out for a reptisun T5, I've been very happy with the two I have. If you can wait, they run a sale for $71.95 very other week or so. You can turn on the front two T5s, back two T5s or moonlight LEDs independently. I don't use the LEDS.

I prefer the Arcadia T5 tubes and systems. I personally have never seen anywhere saying how long the reprising bulbs last but they may have published something now.
