Okay it took a while(very bussy), but here I am with some nice photo's from my acuminatus :







And of course some photo's from the clutches.
On the photo's you will see that I have two clutches, but on the moment I have allready three clutches. (photo's will follow)
First picture... you may search for the spot where the eggs where deposit... :)

And did you find it? No...?

I have dig up the eggs and I have put them in small containers with vermiculite, so it is easy to follow up.


This picture was taken when the eggs are a week old.

And these eggs are just one month old.

And now is waiting untill they hatch.

After many pm's and not find the time to answer every pm, I will put my way of keeping Rhampholeon acuminatus online.
First of all, this is may way of keeping them with success. Maybe there are other ways...
I keep my acuminatus in small groups together, 1 male with 2 females and I keep also female's separated. This is because they are pregnant.
My terrariums are 60x60x60 cm and are full screen cages.
At the bottom I have normally soil and lots of moss.
The terrariums are fully planted and have just one 5.0 UVB light tube on it.(ARCADIA)
The day temperature is not higher then 20 degrees Celsius and at night it drops to 15 degrees Celsius and sometimes to 12 degrees.
I spray twice a day for about 1 minute. But in my basement is the humidity very high.
I feed them with all kind of small and sometimes bigger feeding animals such as:
Crickets, bean Beatles, fly's, waxlarv and even adult panchlora nivea's.
I dust the insects with Korvimin/Calcium and sometimes with mineralls.

That is my way of keeping them, at the moment I have three different clutches from acuminatus.
So here is my way of incubation of the eggs:
I keep them at low temperature.
Daytime +- 19 à 20 °C
Nighttime +- 15 à 16 °C
I have them in vermiculite, water/vermiculite is 2/1.
The first clutch is of the beginning of august and the eggs are doing well(they grow). The last clutch is of okotober and I am waiting for a new clutch to come.
My breeding group is doing very good, I have at the moment again two pregnant females.
So the setup of my enclosures and the conditions are good.

I don't know what you pay in the US, the price in Belguim is 45 - 90 euro a piece

Here we are again with a new update from my breeding group of acuminatus:
Colors from a horny female...


Here the horny male. Who says that dwarfs are not colorfull? :)

These photo are from a while ago.

Yesterday when I was doing mine weekly checkup in the terrariums I found my fourth clutch of eggs.
This time they where lay in the soil, it was a clutch from three eggs again.

they are really beautiful little creatures nice work with them guys keep us posted on those eggs im excited to see the hatchlings
 
Here we are with a update from these species.
It has taken a long time, but after 191 days the first Rhampholeon acuminatus has hatcht.
I have put my incubation data in a table and a diagram. Please note that the incubation temperature are in degrees Celcius and that the text is in Dutch(vrouwelijk = female and mannelijk = male and jong = juvenile)


And here are the first pictures from the newborn:









A day later then the female juvenile, it was time for … He I am missing one juvenile…

You can see the difference between male and female from day one. You just have to check the length of the tail:


On the evening of this day, my second clucth looks like this….
 
This egg I have cut it open, because this was a clutch from august and the egg has collapse. I found a dead not fully grown juvenile inside.


The next day it wasn’t a pleasent supprise to find to dead juveniles that didn’t make it. The have try to come out the egg, but the didn’t succeed.


But the last one of that clutch … just make my day!

Thank you all!
The tail is really strange.
A female have a realy short tail, almost no tail and by the male there is a longer tail such as by newborn Rhampholeon spectrum.
So it is easy to tell from day one what the sexes are.

Yesterday I have checkt my adult acuminatus females and spinosus females and there are 2 of 2 acuminatus females gravid and one spinosus female is gravid.
So you will hear/see more from mee, I hope.

I have at the moment 2.2 adults and 1.2 juveniles.
It is not a big group, but they are doing very well.
If I found the time, I will shoot some new pictures from the adults and ofcourse of the newborns.
