I will forever miss this little guy. I only had him for 3 months, but he stole my heart. I will miss caring for him and miss his sweet little face. I'm so heartbroken right now, but I know that wherever he is; he is no longer in pain. He suffered from MBD & Gout from bad husbandry cause by 2 previous owners.
No chameleon should ever have to suffer this little ones fate. He was only 3 years old and had many years of life left. That was cut short because of ignorance! I am so angry and hurt that his previous owners neglected this beautiful little guy.
People have got to take it upon themselves and learn the proper care of these little guys. They have to research and research before they purchase a chameleon. They require advanced care and will not live very long without the proper care.
I love you Pickles & I will make sure that Lil Squirt will live a long & healthy life. One that you were robbed of because of improper care

That’s so beautiful what you said and have done for him, it’s always heartbreaking to lose an animal but when it was under those circumstances of bad care it’s even more difficult to deal with but he found you and for a while he was cared for and loved so you changed his world.
It’s been said before on the forum that the more you hurt means the more you loved and he will never leave you.

Sorry for your loss...

Sadly many people buy these animals without knowing their needs beforehand or they simply don't care as they feel reptiles are a 'disposable pet', kinda like how many people feel about fish.
