started a roach diet and my veil loves it but question i feed him every other day and skips every sunday to make it even but shoulkd i just give him till he full or limit it to 4-5 whats best in your opinion?

How old is the chameleon? What type? Boy or girl?
What insects do you use in addition to the roaches?

I feed my male adult panther 5 days a week (generally skip Tuesdays and Thursdays due to work schedule), a few insects each time. If using crickets, I use more of those than if offering big roaches.

sorry lol forgot about including that info 7 month old vieled male, i also feed phoenix worms and wax/super as a little varity because there not the best i cant really due crixs cause i cant keep them in the house and i spray the garage with pesticides so i dont want it to cross onto the chameleon... i just let him pick as many as he wanted and he stopped at 5 should that be my goal or just undershoot it by one the roachs are anywhere from 1 to 1 1/2 inches

At 7 months he's still growing a fair bit, so 5 crickets a day is okay, or an equivalent amount of other bugs (in very general terms, a large superworm or a roach counts like 2 cricket). You can start tappering off what he eats as he ages. Keep an eye on his body condition as a guide (fat pads, tail thickness). Also you could measure and weigh him periodically, to see if growth is slowing and thus so perhaps should food intake.

ok well he is eating 5 roaches which i think are bigger than crix dusted and all that jazz so i think ill stay at 5 and see how that goes
