Roach Giving Birth?

Hey folks just had a question about one of my female dubia roaches...

So I went in the basement to check on my colony and I found an adult female next to an adult male. The female had this thing coming out of its... ya know. It looked like a worm kind of, but it wasn't moving. My question is, what is it? Is it beginning birth stages? Its insides coming out? A parasite? Something tells me it's not babies because it is starting to split the sides of the abdomen. I can't get pics because it's hiding. Info appreciated :)

It sounds like it is an egg case. Female Dubia roaches have egg cases that come out of their butts to regulate the temperature of the egg cases. It stays out their butt for a little bit, then it is sucked back inside of them and then they give birth to the nymphs.
