Hi everyone,
I just got a new 5-month old rudis. There's not a ton of information out there for these little guys, unfortunately, so I'm going a little bit by trial and error re: food. My guy apparently ate crickets almost exclusively in the store I got him from, but I'd like to try introducing a bit more variety in his diet. He's been eating crickets readily and has tried the occasional mealworm since I got him home, and I've got some silkworms on the way. Do you guys have any suggestions for other rudis-tempting treats? How are they with fruits and veggies? Mine ignores the things I've been giving him so far, and I wasn't sure whether or not to keep trying.
Also, I've been dusting his crickets with ZooMed Reptivite and gutloading them with Cricket Bites. However, the one big site I've found on rudises suggests that they can be really easily over-supplemented--in fact, the people on the site don't supplement at all. What has your experience with this been?
Thanks a lot!
