i was wondering if any of you could give me some input on foggers.

i want to get one for my chameleon. right now i just have a drip system and use a mist bottle would i be able to just use a fogger? or would i still have to mist even with a fogger i know they keep humidity but is it too much and does it create enough water to drink? or any other info you have would be appreciated! thanks everyone for your feedback!

i suggest you still mist the enclosure.
Fogger will help to keep the humidity up.
but, misting will also ensure your chameleon have access to drinking water.

PS: you can use ultrasonic humidifier instead of fogger to save money.

thanks thats what i thought but i just wanted to make sure so i dont do something wrong for my cham...

Regarding foggers, it's been a touchy subject. They can produce great humidity, but they can also create a breeding ground for the bad stuff. It can also cause issues such as a URI with too much if you don't have good air movement...even in a screen cage. This is not always the case, but it's definitely plausible and something to watch.

I would suggest a DIY (Do it yourself) misting system with 3x daily automatic misting systems. You can make one for around $55-60, and I can provide you with information on how to do it if you like. It can be challenging do find the stuff in stores, so I've narrowed down the best way to go about it. If you can afford it, a pump system like herpmist and mistking is also a great investment. :)

Let us know what you do!

i think im gunna go with a ultrasonic humidifier i think its awsome the way the fog come out gives a cool look to the cage (atleast the one at my local store did haha) but i wouldnt mind settin up a diy mist system either ... depends on my free time

foggers are for techno parties and haunted houses, not chameleons.

ive tried it, too much of a hassle IMO, automated mister would be a better investment.
