Sac Reptile scores?

So anybody score anything cool at the Sac Reptile show? I bought 3 new enclosures, 2 deep dome light fixtures, water dishes, dubias, an emperor scorpion. I think that's it, very pleased with the prices on everything.

P.S. Did anyone else notice in the Exoterra product magazine under the plastic plants, that they actually sell one that is "cannabis"?? How many of you out there want fake cannabis plants in your enclosures?

I need a reptile show. Haven't been in a while, don't think I need and products, except a few feeders. But I need a fix of seeing reptile and other reptile people.:(

:)Hello, I live in North West Louisiana. Are there any reptile shows in our area? I would love to go to one in the future.

breeding pair of cameroon pygmies, cb male carpet, 3 poison dart frogs, 2 new lights, ff cultures, and bug burger. :D

Nice score indeed! We don't often have reptile shows here in BC, but when we do, I'll be sure to attend. One can never have too many chams, supplies, enclosures and other gadgets, right? :D

Does anyone else think that Exoterra is being irresponsible in their plastic plant production of cannabis? I'm not an uptight anti-pot person, au contraire ;) but I do know that cannabis is toxic to chams and think that Exoterra is sending the wrong message about what's acceptable for cham enclosures. I understand that cannabis may not be toxic to other reptile species but I still think the cannabis could be seen as an acceptable plant by a rookie and all it would take is one person to put a real pot plant in a cage and thats one dead cham!

Just throwing it out there....or should I just step away from the joint and quit looking for things to bitch about?

I think they are just supplying what the consumer wants. Don't think they would make it if it wasn't a good seller, or little interest. Have you been to a reptile show lately? I was getting a contact high from some guy that was asking me question at the Sacramento show. He had herb breath, but it wasn't garlic.

LMAO! yah, we can be a quirky bunch, eh? Fair enough, no more bitching about Exoterra sending the wrong message!

Who'd you get the emperor scorpion from? I was helping my friend at the GBU booth and sold some emperors. I ended up buying a beautiful pair of Nosy Falys, spectral and Pygmy leaf chameleons, 6 tarantulas, two enclosures and various other accessories. I'm glad this only happens once a year here or I'd go broke fast!

Cal is awesome...
Super Reptile show in August then Anaheim show in September, Ontario in November and another big one in January. Plus if you didn't mind driving; Sacramento....

1 Kammer Cham / 1 tarantula and a bunch of supplies at great prices.

I picked up a pair of africanus, a picture plant, a Venus fly trap, some crickets and dubias.

I would have probably got more if I didn't run out of money and time.

I really wanted to spend more time talking to the vendors and getting to know who had what but it was so crowded! I was amazed we had to wait in a 30 minute line at 2:30 PM on Saturday to get in!

Once I got in a realized why... everything seemed to be at really good pricing, better than advertised on the internet for most items let alone what you pay in stores.

I picked up a new Reptisun 5.0 bulb, some bendy vines, a couple digital thermometer/hygrometers, a Mist King ultimate kit, and a new baby blue bar ambilobe female with a cage setup kit from LLL Reptile :) Nice haul but I wound up spending way more money than I had planned lol.

I was really surprised by how packed it was as well. I would've liked to spend some more time talking to some of the vendors there too but it was crazy busy and you had to wait in line just to ask a question about something you wanted to buy let alone shoot the breeze and get to know someone lol. I got lucky and was able to get put on a guest list so I didn't have to wait in line or pay admission which was awesome because I couldn't believe how the line was wrapped half way around the block when I got there at 1:00 on Saturday...

I can't wait until next years show!

Haha i just bought like 3 large fake weed plants for my enclosure...

I think it's funny, looks like a grow house anyways.

Wish i could of gone to the sac show, heard it was great. Might have to make a trip out there for next years show.
