Safe plants

Hello, I was just at the local plant nursery and they had these plants below. Are they safe for a Jackson’s?thanks much.
1. Chocolate Covered Cherry
2. Wizard Mix
3. Coleus
4. Diamond Frost
5. Velvet Curtains
6.
Ipomoea Margarita
You've been given a couple of lists already. These lists are chameleon-safe:
https://chameleonacademy.com/plants/
https://www.madcham.de/en/pflanzen-fuers-terrarium/
https://www.chameleons.info/l/safe-and-unsafe-plants/
https://www.chameleonschool.com/safe-plants-for-chameleons/

To be safe, I would stick to what's on these lists.

Variety is nice, but there are different kinds of variety—color, texture, leaf shape, plant shape...
The more the merrier, sure, but you may eventually have to do some pruning, and you don't want plants crowding or shading out other plants. Light, water, and space requirements of plants are all important, or you could wind up replacing dead/dying plants on a regular basis (some plants like hibiscus do better when rotated out a few times a year)

This is why what https://chameleonacademy.com/plants/ says is at least as important as the list of safe plants. It's a blueprint for how to arrange an enclosure to maximum benefit, though one should still research the specific needs of every plant in an enclosure, and adjust accordingly.

Here is the safe plant list that most keepers use. https://chameleonacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Chameleon-Plants-122819.pdf

There are other plants that people use but these are the ones that have been tested repeatedly with chameleons. If your interested in others you would have to do some digging on the toxicity of it and make sure it does not have external irritants that could effect the cham.

You want to have enough plants so that the cham feels secure but they need to be able to access the basking area without it being blocked totally on top.

Hello, I was searching the forums and found this. Are all these plants safe for a Jackson’s? There’s a ton of them. I’m gunna be spending days going through this list.lol.

The main problem I see with that list is that there is no source, citations, qualifiers, nor commentary of any kind. The 4 lists I cited above (post #9) have those, and have been tested (albeit empirically).

Agreed ^^^ that list you found on flchams is actually a dog and cat list. It is not a chameleon list. So I would stick the the link that @ERKleRose gave you as all the plants have been used with chameleons.

Are there any other safe plants lists? Of the links you guys posted there are so few of them. Or are there not that many?thanks

Are there any other sites besides the chameleon academy site? They only have like 20 different plants. Thanks.
It’s the most up to date site with reliable cham safe plants. What you choose is up to you but even if your cham does not eat them this is not the only concern.

Some more ideas:

FYI english Ivy is actually toxic, so not all ivy's are safe. And some ferns do release toxic spores... Gardenia's flowers are toxic as well, I would be concerned about using them with Veileds. The video is good but your not taking in account Veileds will eat anything and everything. I feel like this video is a bit misleading for Veiled owners. Being as how most of our new keepers are Veiled owners this is very risky. Also saying that just because a plant is toxic to a dog or a cat does not make it toxic to a cham is not accurate IMO.

The truth is we do not know because besides them dying out of nowhere no one has specifically done a study on this. This is why Bill Strand's list is most accurate as they are plants that have been used over time and specifically tested repeatedly with chams including what is safe for a Veiled.
