SAMBAVA vs NOSY BE!!

Hey fellow members! After having a Jackson for the last 4 months and watching him thrive, I have decided one chameleon just isn't enough anymore hahah ...and I now have the space, money, and time to care for a 2nd one. I have definitely decided on a panther, but I am having a little trouble deciding between a Sambava or Nosy Be from Kammers. I really love the deep blues of nosy's but also the many different shades of colors from sambavas (especially the colors I've seen from some of the members chams here)... I know most of the differences between jackson's and panthers, like temps and humidity, but what are some minor differences that you guys have come across in caring for panthers? Any opinions, advice, or pics is appreciated, thanks! Below are the sires that I am considering :D

im partial to the blues myself, thats why i have ambanjas and a nosy be, my next chams will probably be another nosy and another ambanja, but after that i think im going with a sambava...haha i sound like a hoarder, but i just cant get enough of these guys...chams are probably my favorite addiction haha

Thats a decision I had to choose between as well. Honestly, you will always wonder "What if I got the other instead" lol. SO its really btw Blue or colors.... If that helps? With a Nosy Be you know what color he/she will be later on, but smabavas have a bit more variation to them. You know what you want, just gotta figure it out :D

The Kammers blue lines of are super blue. IT will be BLUE as the pic. I would say go for the sambava. I like different colors.

Nosy be from the kammers!!! Here's my guy that I got (who passed) from the kammers. Sire is Celebrimbor.

Although, any cham from the kammers is going to turn out to be perfect!! I'm not quite understanding your question though? All locales of panthers are kept exactly the same.

although i will say, i am way more partial to the WC Nosy Be look than the "true blue" Nosy Be's...check out The Chameleon Company, i talked to Jim today and he said he has a lot of Nosy's out of the shell that will be ready in a few weeks...he also has some of the best prices around...check out his website

Man that is hard choice. Kammers have some of the best sambavas and nosy's. I want one of the Cortez bloodline sambava and Sinatra nosy.

Tough choice. Let us know what you end up getting.

I have been leaning towards the nosy be mostly because i KNOW how it is going to look when it grows up, which the sire Sinatra looks amazing, and honestly i am a little afraid of how the sambavas colors will turn out, but that is also one of the fun parts of owning it lol...would the sambava most likely grow to be like its dad?

They can look like there dad, but not for sure. You can't go wrong with the Kammer's. Both sires are amazing.

with any panther you can kind of get an idea of what the offspring might look like, but every one is different...thats the fun in chameleon owning and thats why its so addicting

im with you on that, im hoping to pair a greaseball girl for my nnosey be

jim has some awsome cchams as well

overall i suggest a sambava first then get a nosery be later:D

Oh haha i meant between a panther and jackson cham

not much different, besides that panthers need al little more heat and you can supplement a little more withy them

but generally panthers are a bit easier than jacksons,

Yeah I've emailed Liddy a few times and she seems amazing, so I assume the chams are amazing also and I've heard nothing but good things about em :) I will ask her to email me a pic of the sambava mother to get more of an idea then, thanks for the advice.

And that is good to know Ace, not that the jackson has been much trouble to take care of anyways...do you guys think it would be OK to keep them in the same room but on different sides, or completely hide them from each other?

you can have them in the same room, as long as they dont see eachother

you can even put them side by side with a visual barrier between them.

liddy and ed arre great people, my cham picture you see in the corner is the cham i got from them:)

dont ask for the mother becasue females have no real color, only the males have the awsome color , so ask for the "mother's dad" or a brother to the mom side

Thats a TUFF choice...so I got my Sambava FIRST and my Nosy Be SECOND...I just had to have my Fire and Ice Chams...There both really great, you just have to decide on your colors! My Nosy Be stays a Medium Blue MOST of the time with hints of yellow on his cheeks and Red Spots on his eyes, legs, lower belly & tail. My Sambava is a nice green with deep maroon bars during the day & fired up he's a Orange/Red...Check out my Pics!

Good Luck on Deciding which one you want!!
