Scattered on the soil!

My female carpet Mystique finally laid her eggs this morning. I had her cage over 9'' of soil, and she never bothered to dig! On the 36th day after mating, we spied her snooping on the cage floor about 3 different times in the day. On the following day, she scattered 14 eggs on the soil.

One egg did not make it because of a hole in it, 3 have a slight dimple on them, and the remaining 10 look great. I am storing the 13 eggs in room temperature in slightly moist vermiculite inside a wine cooler with the door cracked. The wine cooler will stay off until 45 days from now.

I will keep everyone posted on thier status, thanks!
WHOOO HOOOO!:D

Great...well done. I will be breeding my female major soon. Apparently if you put a heat mat under the laying medium this can persuade them not to scatter eggs....but I don't know. I hope they are fertile :)
