schefflera arboricola

So I've read a lot on thes plants and I've seen that they are toxic and that they aren't toxic. So I am at a loss for what to believe. I have a veiled, anybody wanna clear the air and tell me if it is ok to have in her cage or not?

It is the tree I see most recommended on the forum, I would at this point consider it (and ficus benjamina (the weeping fig)) to be a chameleon staple, from the information I got on it from the people here it is what I intend to get once my baby cham is a little bigger. I believe I read somewhere on here that the schefflera family all have a varying degree of toxicity but none are any more toxic than the others, I will look for the thread if someone else doesn't post it first.

Edit: If you search "schefflera arboricola" in the forum search there are many many threads on this topic

I think its like the third one down in the list if you go to resources then click live plants it will say schefflera arboricola or umbrella tree. I ran down to lowes today and picked one up, its about 2 1/2 feet tall. It was 7.50 and I also got some organic soil for 7.50. It doesn't seem to be having any ill effects yet but she hasn't eaten any of it. She is sleeping on one of the branches . I guess I will just have to wait and see how much she eats of it and her fecal matter and behavior for the next few weeks to see if it is there to stay or to get rid of it :/

They are toxic when eaten (although it's minor)

Toxicity and Irritants
Schefflera arboricola has a very low toxicity level when eaten. Large amounts of the plant would have to be consumed to be of concern to most chameleons. Caution should be used when using this plant with a chameleon that is known to be a big plant eater (2/3).
