Screen: Other than mesh or hardware cloth

Hey guys,

So ive got my frame for my new cage built, minus sealer, plexi, etc(hopefully by next weekend). I am trying to find some screen material. I want to go with something other than mesh screening, but took a look at hardware cloth and it only comes in 1/4" squares. Does anyone know of anything else that is finer? I dont want the crickets to get out...

One thing to be aware of is the finer screen may cause a toe nail avulsion...its happened to my cham a few times of on all his feet. I have been wondering if a less dense mesh would be easier on his claws...

Yeah that is perfect and actually the only stuff I found on a web search...problem is you need a $75 minimum order (and the stuff is $5 a square foot!)...im a college student...need I say more?

For the top since you need it a little more transparent I would consider aluminum. Good luck

I didnt see 1/8 the other day...ill look again for it. Hopefully its pretty visible through it it would be perfect.

Great link. i have been looking for a place that carries the actual mesh. Hardware cloth can be sharp if it is the stuff i have seen sold in stores. i would worry about cuts myself.

maybe several people could buy a roll and share it

Just called cages.net. He is not willing to sell any lengths of mesh whatsoever nor give out his supplier for it, and wasn't super friendly about it either. Fantastic.

If anyone wants to split a roll of 5 or 6 mesh wire from TWP id be interested in getting some...

We just received our order from Industrial Netting, in Brooklyn Park, MN. We purchased a clear mesh to be used for an outdoor enclosure. My husband said they don't have a minimum order amount. They have clear, black, white, green, in all different sizes, gauges and thicknesses and stiffness, etc.
