Great job locating Furcifer balaladeansis!! One of the rarest if not the rarest chameleon species in the world from the readings I have done.

Best Regards

Thanx Jeremy,
we try always our Best to find the most rerest Chams in Madagascar. We have a very Long list what we hope to find on our next Expedition.
If we get some nice Pictures, i will share it here

All your pictures are excellent. Post tons, I even go look at the older ones because they are beautiful. I will always be sad that my doctor will not let me go with you.

Time for a new doctor...:D

Yeah time for a new Doctor. We just returned from Central America and it was great! I spotted American Crocodiles (Crocodylus acutus) and plenty of Iguanas. Even though this was not an ecotourism vacation.

Best Regards
Jeremy A. Rich

I was on the same expedition this year, and it just was great. <3 Madagascar is such an incredible place for chameleons (and reptiles in general, of cause). Ranomafana's rainforests were a little rainy, thus we weren't so lucky during daytime. But in the night we could find lots of animals along only few hundred metres of street, I was quite surprised by how many species we've seen in one evening. The national park itself is really beautiful, but has a looooot of steps to go. Good training for lazy german couch potatoes :D.

These are some of my pictures from Ranomafana this year. From left to right: Young Furcifer balteatus male with stunning blue gular sac, bridge inside Ranomafana national park, Calumma nasutum, Calumma glawi female and a colourful pregnant Furcifer lateralis female.

And some more of the surrounding area: A view over Ranomafana village and some insights of the national park, and a Calumma oshaughnessyi female in the morning.
