Seeking brumation technique suggestions

I have a male Parsonii that was a wild caught animal. He seems to be entering brumation and was wondering what techniques you guys utilize for this? I keep him in my basement which is can vary from low to high 60's with the a/c on from day to day. Seems perfectly healthy other than low activity. He found a nice place around the pothos plant and parked himself there (this is where the mister and drip system are). Hes wide awake all day, but stays parked. Any advice/suggestions?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums. Where do you live? Are you in the US? If so he shouldn't burmate until late fall. If you are in the US you should warm him up a bit in the daytime.

I am in the US, but he is a new import. They were just entering winter in Madagascar. I am just not sure how to get him switched over to a northern hemisphere cycle. Do I let him bruminate for a month or two and then bring him out of it? I have quite a few years of chameleon experience, but Ive never had to do this before.

I've never had a fresh WC but there's plenty of them coming in. Hopefully a more experienced keeper will see your thread.

I have a WC pair, from this year. Increase the photoperiod to 14-16 hours of daylight and get your ambient temps to 76F, with 80-85F basking areas. Mine are both active and eating just fine, kept as described above and kept indoors. Outdoor housing should also encourage them, but my Summer temps are already in the 90s, so I prefer to keep them indoors. I have a portable AC on a day/night thermostat, so I get a nice temp drop to the mid to high 60s at night and up to the mid 70s during the day. Warm their misting water with an aquarium heater in the mist resevoir. Think warm, mild, wet, Summer and replicate it.
