Senegal Rescue/Weird orange growths

I'm glad you were able to figure it out and force feed him. Be careful with the vitamins and D3 though. Too much, and it can be a serious problem because they can build up in his system.

I'll second that.
D3 in excess is toxic to the kidneys/liver and it seems that overdosing is fairly easy to do. http://web.archive.org/web/20060421.../index.php?show=6.Vitamin.D3.and.Calcium.html

It's great news that the odd growths are going away.
Are they actually dropping off or just shrinking?

OD-ing is something I hadn't considered...

In other great news he has shed from start to finish in under 24 hours. I've never seen such a fast shed in my life.

The growths are just dropping off, some of them peeling much like a scab.

I wasn't home to monitor today, but my girlfriend had him out and said that both his activity level and grip had greatly improved.

Will probably spoon-feed again tomorrow.

EDIT:

Just checked on him, after his shed all of the growths fell off with it. He's only got one left on his front right hand.

Seems like an entirely new chameleon, both eyes open, much more active, grip is quite strong.

Really can't believe it has (seemingly) worked out.

Just gotta figure out this eating/tongue issue and he's good as gold!

Thanks again to everyone giving me advice and especially to whomever gave me the link to that vet! You're a (literal) lifesaver!

I'm very glad you were kind enough to take him to the vet.
He sounds like a really good one.
It is fantastic that those growths are going away.
Hopefully the tongue follows suit and soon.
Again, kudos to you for being such a kind soul and getting the little critter to the vet.
