It's been a rough month on us. After many trips to the vet we were finally able to get Espio's infection under control. It took a couple weeks of having to force feed him different types of worms but he eventually started eating silkworms on his own. I was so happy! He was back to being able to eat by himself (he had lost control of his tongue) and was growing again. Today when I was misting him though, his tongue fell out of his mouth again! Back to the vet we went. More blood work and the vet took a swab of his tongue to run extra tests on (still waiting on the results). Until the new round of antibiotics kick in though, he can't eat on his own. I'm hoping to bribe him by getting more silkworms for him to eat. I figured it would be more cost effective to set up my own colony of them, but when I was looking on the sight and online it was hard to imagine what the set up would look like. Does anyone who has had success having a silkworm colony have any suggestions? Or maybe some pictures of what the colony setup should look like? Thanks for the help and advice!
