Who can help me to sex this Ch. jacksonii willegensis ? .
What do you think about status of subspecies "willegensis" ? This is quite common subspecies in Europe. Could I try to breed with normal Ch. jacksonii jacksonii. The animal below is about 5 month old:

It's a male. Where do want to get a "real" jacksonii jacksonii ? From my knowledge, the willegensis called jacksoniis are highly variable in color, in clutches of them appear very colorful animals and some which are more or less just green aka "real" jacksonii jacksoniis

I don't now if the sold jacksonii jacksonii are the real ones but all subspecies are quite common in Europe. Why do you think that this is a male..?

I agree it's a male. The tubercles of the dorsal crest are much more developed than a female's would be as in this almost 3 year old:

There is no such subspecies. The form that is referred to as "willegensis" is a color variant of T. j. jacksonii. The name "willegensis" is a tribute to a smuggler who illegally brought them to Europe.

Wow, Kent she looks like a hefty girl...

damn, so many chams to want..

whoops, sorry chris, i was so hasty to just look at the picture, read a few posts quickly....

didn't even notice the scalation on the legs.. my bad.

I have no clue about the kind or sex (though, I figured out the Jackson's part!) but that is one lovely chameleon! I particularly love the pattern on the "eye cone" or whatever that lid structure is called.

Thanks for your answers, I looked closely at the base of his tail today and I think that I saw some nuts..:D
