shaky and balance aint great

So I didn't think I would be posting a health question...but here goes
I purchased an 8 mo Nosy Be (Kammer baby, but not from them. Another forum member)
I've had him for 2 days. He hasn't eaten or drank anything
He seems to be very shaky and stilted in his gaits, he has fallen and acts like he has parkinsons.
He's in a 2x2x4
5.0 linear
60 watt basking
Mistking every 3 hours for 5 min/ extra hand misting
His supps were different than mine, mineral o without d3 every other day
mineral o with d3 every 2 weeks
Herptivite every 3 weeks
I have taken him outside for fresh air and sun both days.
I also got a 5 mo ambilobe that shows same symptoms but not as noticable.
Liddy is thinking supplement imbalance it not enough supplement.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I have called my vet

His legs are sraight, no lumps no bumps!

Nope, eyes are clear, but I did think of that, like maybe his balance is off because his eyesight is off. He kinda looks at the water dripping or crix but can't focus on if or understand what he's doing. Any of that make sense?
this is weird to me
his Poop was fine this morning, even for not eating or drinking
the wobbly thing is confusing

I don't know much about Panther chameleons, but I'm pretty sure you need to use calcium supplements...

It looks like all you have are multivitamin supplements and no calcium.

You are overdosing your cham on vitamins and not providing any calcium!

That's most likely why your cham is having a hard time moving!

Thank you the replies!
The mineral o has calcium, but I have only had him for 2 days and since he hasn't eaten in my possession he has not taken any supplements.
This is not my schedule, mine is much different than the previous owner, and will make the changes when I can get him to start eating. I've tried crix, silks, horned, no luck figure he is just settling in.
In regards to the fall, I've checked him over and don't see any injury, soft tissue or bone. And I think the fall might be a result of his shakiness
I am open to all ideas!

You need a calcium only supplement like Calcium from Repcal without vitamin d3 to be using almost every feeding and a Calcium with d3 twice a month. You should only be using Miner-all O twice a month as well.

You are not giving your cham enough calcium and providing too many minerals I believe.

He looks good in the picture above, you just need to be sure to buy a Calcium only supplement for most feedings, a calcium with d3 for twice a month, and continue using your Miner-all O twice a month only.

MatthewTran, as I said previously, I have only owned him for 2 days. This is not my supplement schedule but the previous owners. Since he has not eaten with me yet, I have not given him any supplements.
I am well aware of the calcium needs and give my other chams calcium no d3 5 days a week, herptivite and mineral vitamins/d3 twice a month.
I am assuming it is a supplement imbalance and over/under certain supplements, which I will correct when I get him to start eating

Cool, I guess you answered your own question then.

Prob just wait and see what the vet says and use your own supplement schedule.

the weird walking can be either injury or a chemical imbalance

hmm mineral-o without d3 is fine, doesnt need to be repcal without d3

but the herptivite every 2 days sounds like alot actually

maybe trust try to give him extra drinking opportunities to wash away any excess vitamins/minerals....and just give reall awsome gutloaded crix

until then i would get to a vet asap

maybe do some bloodwork?

goodluck, he looks good other than that

Hi Ace, thank you
The every 2 days is a typo on my part, its every 3 weeks! Went back and corrected that.
Im thinking showers for the next week or so to help keep him hydrated and like you said to help flush him out. Im misting the s@?! out of him and hoping the sun will help.
I will def ask for blood work, thank you for reminding me

sounds to me like your doing everything you can good luck and try not to stress him out too much by handling him a lot along with the showers if it were me i would leave him be and offer food 3 times a day and shower him in his cage so he is in his comfort zone and can get acclimated with his new home. best of luck with him and keep us posted.:)

When I got my nosy boy from the Kammers he was really shaky as well. I took him outside a lot and continued with his normal dusting schedule and it went away quickly. I wouldn't feed him 3x's a day though, just once with about 5-7 large crickets or roaches since he's an older Cham.

Thompson, thank you! I will carry on then, hopefully he eats tomoro and all will start to go right!. He is beautiful and super friendly. I only want the best for him

do you notice him closing his eyes throughout the day at all? i would guess vitA issue. try some reptivite. it has preformed vitA that will get him loaded up. also gutload his crickets with some greens, carrots and sweet potato.

good luck.

note: check his pupils, make sure they are round.

Update on Krunch
He has been to the vet, he is on daily calcium shots( thank gawd I have given shots like forever on my horses and dogs, and people!) Thought he would hate me for stickin' him everyday, but he just goes about life....so far :)
He has now eaten 2 silks, 1 yesterday and 1 today, its a start
Thank you to all for your concern, I hope I caught the MBD in time
P.S. I put red nail polish on today( don't even polish!) And he caves my red nails a double take before the injection! Thought he might try to bite, but nope!
