Haha they have such funny quirky personalities. My veiled constantly tries to flick his tongue and grab my eyebrow ring lol
New question related to sharp nails: Would it be ok if I used a nail file and filed off just the very tip? just the sharp little point? Would this somehow seriously impede his climbing? It's just been so painful to hold him and my hands are always covered in little scratches. I will wear gloves if I have to, but I wanted to know if anyone has ever considered filing the tip of their chameleon's nails or have done it before.
Not a lot you can do apart from what Meow Kitty said and thats putting branches in that will help him keep them down a little, mine has just gone the same at 1 year old just after his last shed and now seems to be just getting stronger, i let mine walk about outside his Tank and let him climb to his hearts content till he wants his house again, Not a lot you can do apart from use your hands like a rolling road so he will keep walking on your hands instead of digging in, my hands are full of cuts from him as he will dig in so i can take his dead shed off him and will use my finger to rub his shed off, hes like a dog lol, one thing you could do is cut knores into a branch so he has to use his claws more to grip, but dont make it to hard or he just wont go that route, i just went and got a branch with nobbles and a little rough so he has to dig in harder and he always gos that way now and uses it as his safe branch !! Failing all that Wear Gloves but thats not as fun as holding them by hand, and dont forget some just dont like being handled and are happy to chill without being held.Hi, lately I've noticed how sharp Jean-Luc's claws are! He has a SUPER strong grip, so his claws are actually puncturing my skin or leaving indentations. Anyone else have this problem? I thought his branches would smooth his claws down a bit.
