Shed in panthers eye

He shed about a week ago and has a spot of shed skin still in his eye. I am trying to mist it off he can open sometimes but u can see the dot of shed right there which makes it harder to open his eye. I was using a spray bottle but traded it in for a mister bottle. Which might work. I don't know. Any ideas. He rubs it on a branch sometimes. Ugh

Maybe carefully (if hell let you) take a warm wet q-tip and try to help him out. This is only if hes ok w you near his eyes. Today as Ive been working w my veiled to not see me as a threat while I was handling her i lightly brished her eyes and she was fine w me doing so. 4 days ago anytime my hand was in cage shed puff up and hiss, but I did the "this hand means food" w feeders so shes calmed a bit when the big scary pink monster enters her cage.

That's a possibility I can see if that works. I just got the humity up when I switched to a mister bottle versus a spray bottle. Big difference. I had no idea it would change humity. Thank you

The smaller the drops the better, thats why humidifiers put out a fog. Good luck

Shed skin over an eye

Panther has shed in eye over a week. Tried a q tip. Got humity up it was low. Sprayed mist a lot. Help

showers a good way of removing stubborn eye sheds. Be careful touching it. It is easy to hurt their eyes. He should 'pop' [a way of themselves cleaning their eyes] his eye and/or remove it with his foot, while showering. You don't want to leave on there.

If you have an automatic mister turn it on for longer. If you mist by hand try and mist a little longer and a little more directly on your Cham. When I notice my boy is shedding I always try and make it more humid so it's easier for him, he usually gets done shedding in less then a 12 hour period.

Eyes
