So my little guy is 4 months out of his and has been with me now for around 3 weeks. He had his first shed in my care today! I was so worried about this because of the humidity issues I deal with (discussed in other thread). I think the shed was a good sign of me doin things right and him bieng healthy. As I was leaving for practice with my baseball team I noticed he had a little sheddage goin on around his leg and his back was looking like it was time. So I was a wreck at practice, worrying he would have a hard shed and it would kill him...I left at around 4 pm wifey sends me a text around 5:30 he was done and the cage looked like a cotton pillow! By the time I got home at 6:30 he was completely over it and having a drink! Sooo happy! This is a good sign right? His poo is good, he shed quick, he eats like a pig ( 20+ crickets a day), and he drinks good when I mist.
By the way the post shed colors where awsome! All turquoise with redish bars! :D

I am new to all of this but it sounds like that is really great!

Do you cup feed him? and how long after having him did you start to see him drink? Just wanna compare with my little guy.

Yes I do cup feed him now, mainly just to see exactly how much he eats! lol He ate and drank within 24 hrs of his arrival. He was very cold when he showed up and was pissed to say the least :) I robbed an idea from u tube about a feeder cup. Instead if using the traditional cup and worrying about starving him, I used a gatoraide bottle. Cut out the half of the side and hot glued a piece of screen in it. Left the lid on and intact. Now when the lights come on he beats me to his perch waiting for grub! lol
As far as him drinking, he loved the dripper at first over the puddles on leaves. He would put his mouth directley under the dripper :) Now, he drinks whenever and wherever he wants.

Thats really great. I wish I was having that kind of luck. Think I might try the cup thing this week. more for piece of mind for me so I know how much he is eating. Havent seen my little guy drink at all yet except for when I first put him in the cage. Just installed a dripper today so hope that solves my problem!

Glad to hear things are going very well for you! That first post makes it sound like everything is cruising along at your place! Nice one!

I am a bag of nerves half the time lol! My wife will kill me if I kill my baby panther! lol She hates my other obsession, saltwater reef tanks, and I have destroyed a couple. But the most expensive I have gottin with fish are paired snowflake clowns...and they fell short of my little Ambanja! So, if I kill him...she is gonna blow a gasket!
