My female veiled is 8 months old.
Her previous sheds have all ranged between a few hours - few days.
This time though..
She shed just her feet and half her tail one week..
Then her head and back 2 weeks ago.
She still needs to shed her legs and half her body.
She doesnt seem bothered.
Although she does look a little uneven right now.

As they age, they shed in patches. The only time shed becomes a worry is if it is constricting bloodflow. She looks good.

You'll know if she has shed to worry about because it will be like leaving a hair-tie around your arm...it will be tight and constricting.

So they shed in sections as they get older and the shedding process can take longer with each section then a full body shed when they are young.

They do not always shed one section then another right after. It can be weeks or even months in between.

So typically yeah it can take a week to shed a section. I would not count all the sections as a month long though.
The feet and tail went in a day..
Then nothing for over a week in between.
Then her head and back took about 3 days..
That was 2 weeks ago.
Nothing since.
The rest looks like ot could start any day at least.

Yep totally normal. Like I said it is not a month for her to shed one section. That would be an issue. lol

Do you find their behavior to change just before a shed? I have found that to be the case with my 7 month old. Just seems to act a bit weird the day or two before.
