Female, correct? Not really important, just wondering. My girl shed in 20 hours, but I've heard it can take much longer. Just keep the humidity up. If the shed is still there, DONT PICK IT! I almost did but I read you shouldn't so ok. If the shed is still there after a day or two, put her on a plant in the shower and direct the shower head to the wall, so a fine mist bounces and hits them. Good luck!View attachment 147749 Hello, my 3-4 month old veiled chameleons head is starting to shed. How long does this go for? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?
Also, (s)he's on the ground. That is quite strange. You might want to increase the amount of branches and foliage, as they are arboreal (tree dwelling)View attachment 147749 Hello, my 3-4 month old veiled chameleons head is starting to shed. Actually this is the picture of when I got him which was Friday. He does walk on the ground but I have branches for him and he uses them tooAlso, (s)he's on the ground. That is quite strange. You might want to increase the amount of branches and foliage, as they are arboreal (tree dwelling)

One more thing... Are you sure that is a male? The veil looks awfully small. Can you show a pic of the back feet from behind?View attachment 147749 Hello, my 3-4 month old veiled chameleons head is starting to shed. How long does this go for? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

This is it for now, I'm going in a bit to get more greeneryCan you take a picture of your whole setup? I would also recommend not using the substrate on the bottom as your cham may accidentally ingest some while feeding.
Several more things. Can you try zooming in on the hind feet more? It's a little blurry. Dark stripes could simply mean they are absorbing heat rays. Mine does it often.Oh and one more question. He is getting dark stripes, what does that mean?
Please do. Looks very dismal in there. This is it for now, I'm going in a bit to get more greenery
