Shocking!!! Exciting !!!!

I came in from work today, and went to check on baby Butter, and he was at the top of his cage, and had all of those wonderful colors that I see in the pics of eveyone's adult veileds !!! He had spots and stripes and was yellow and dark green and wow !!!!

This is the first time I have seen any other color on him other than his "baby green" -- I think he was hunting crickets when I came in, could that be why he was displaying his "fancy colors" ? I was so surprised !! I have had him now for 6 weeks, and he has at least doubled in size in that time.

Thanks everyone here, for helping me to raise this baby cham !! I'm really loving watching him grow and change.

Tomorrow he is going to get to go out in his new explorium for a few hours of sunshine in the morning before it gets too hot !!

It is exciting! I remember when my first Veiled started "coloring" up! Just wait-it will only get better! :)

I've hand my Male veiled for almost 2 months now, and he shows his green and yellow colours every now and again. He's finally getting used to me, he was very friendly in the shop and loved being handled, but now he doesn't! Shame!

I want to get him out in the sun we are having over here, but the vivarium is too big to move, and he's too aggressive to come onto my hand!

Buy an explorarium from exo terra. I use it for him to bask, mist and eat. He really only sleeps inside. Except when it is over 90 out and then he lives in his cage all day. You can also use it in the shower with a plant to really get a good mist in. Just don't put the full shower on it, maybe just on half the plant.

I am not a "computer person" -- but I will see if my daughter can figure out how to post pictures here...is there a link on how to post pictures ?

Butter has an explorium for his outside ventures. I recieved it last week, and it is working out well for us. Our daytime temps are very hot, (over 100 f.) so he is getting some weekend sunshine in the mornings from 9 to 11am and some late afternoon sun after work from 5pm to 6:30pm a couple days during the week.

You have vastly over estimated my knowledge of a computer. Attaching something would mean that I have the ability/knowledge to get a picture into my computer first.

I know that it is hard for most people under a certian age, but let's just say that when I was in college ..... I wrote my papers on a typewriter, and did research in a library.

My apologies.
In this situation, your daughter seems to be the key person. Good luck with the pictures. We'd love to see them.

Speaking of sunshine, yesterday and today I put my 6 weeks old baby veiled in the sun for a while. He puffed up, turned sideways and turned very dark. He was pretty much like a bearded pigmy cham.
