So, I haven't really paid much attention to it, and I haven't actually thought to make sure nothing is up. Basically, my veiled Chameleon has a small casque compared to most of what I've seen, and it is fairly "fatty" I guess I could say, just by the way it felt. Not sure if there is a better term. Now, from the information, I want to say I started to slack in caring for him, with being gone all day most of the time (No excuse I know), But I have been putting my responsibilities in check, and making sure he gets proper care. here is the INFO
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, Male, 2.5 years, Ive had it since about the time he was born (Give or take a couple weeks)
Handling - I haven't handled him too often, maybe once or twice a month. But I've been doing it more lately
Feeding - I generally feed him Crickets and Mealworms. around 5 each time once every other day. I just started recently. Most of the time they die before I can... But I also very recently started giving him fruits and veggies (Orange, lettuce, grapes, banana, and apples)
Supplements - Exo terra, I dont do it very often, (Working on this especially)
Watering - I have an automatic mister. I don't exactly know how often it goes on because I am not home during the day but probably every couple hours, but it is on for about 8 seconds. And no I do not see him drink it
Fecal Description - Brown and White, he has never been tested
History - No history
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Its not quite a screen but, its like a plastic screen. 2ftx2ftx3.5ft
Lighting - Exo-Terra, compact top canopy, normally an infrared light (But it is broken), also exo-terra. I turn on my lights when I wake up in the morning, and off at night (7:30am-11:00pm)
Temperature - Atm with no heat lamp it is 70F. Not sure the night temp. I have an exoterra thermometer
Humidity - 70%, maintaining it by misting and I also have soil and live plants to keep the moisture. An exoterra hygrometer
Plants - I have live plants, one is a vine and I am not sure about the other, I have pictures attached of the enclosure
Placement - It is in my bedroom, Most of the time Ikeep other pets away. On top of a vent, not active most of the time. About 6feet
Location - Near Lake huron
Current Problem - My veiled has just always had a fairly small casque but I never thought anything of it, and I though now I should make sure there is not something I should change about his conditions
PS He tends to hang out in the light fixture, even if the basking light is on. would it be that possibly??
