should i be concerned?

Cage size is fine, and they do slow down at about 6 months. Have you tried him with silk or Superworms. His cousin could really care less about crickets but loves Supers. As long as he is healthy, he will grow at his own pace.

i can't find the original posting, but he's from bertha and bolero or botero. i swear it said 5 months, and i swear i saw february in there somewhere.

also just noticed that the front of his eyes have little fat pocket-looking things. i'm hesitant to bring him to the vet we used last time because they never noticed our old cham had gular edema, which someone on here had diagnosed.

I would venture to say he is a little thin. How long have his eyes been like that? I would give Sandy a call and let her know.

i also have a baby from the same clutch as urs, from botero. mine is also very very small and was small when i got her. i love the work sandy does she and elliot are the #1 breeder here but i have to say im happy with the quility my cham but i find it hard to believe these veileds are 5 months.

They do grow at different rates, and females tend to be smaller. I have a female from Jann that is huge and a female almost 2 months older that is half of her size. And like I said I have a cousin of yours, a male, that is very small. My adult Veileds are very different sizes. None of the males from Leon are even close to his size even at 2 years.

Yea :/
Im kinda dissapointed though but I know chams all grow at different rates :/
Shes just so tiny and Ive had her for about 2 months-ish now and still shes only grown a bit.
Just got to wait for that growth spurt I guess :D

Is it possible that line is just petite?

I guess I'm more experienced with human babies, but there is always a gigantic range of "okay" and even kids outside that are usually considered "okay" after a bit of extra attention.

Isn't he just the cutest thing though?

My seven month old veiled just weighed yesterday for 48 grams.
I'm feeding and correctly and all!
I made a thread just like this and at the end of it, it was settled he was just a small guy, a late bloomer.
He is growing and all, just not very quickly.

Im pretty sure it HAS to be the line
Shes a really really pretty glowing green/blue color,
This is her when she was 5 months old when I first got her,
Shes a bit bigger now at 6-6.5 months.
I cant wait till shes all grown up shes gonna be so pretty :D

She's so pretty now!!

It might be that petite veileds are a result of captive breeding of veileds. It's bound to appear in some lines earlier than in the majority.

Sometimes when you have any chameleon that is not growing or eating like it should, it can help to raise the temps a tad. Going to 90 for a 6 month old Veiled will not be an issue.

how much did you say your little girl weighs, ashley? sandy's gonna call me later and we'll talk about what will help gilligan. i'll also try a higher wattage bulb for him, see if that helps. can being too close to his uvb light be causing his sluggishness? he likes to sit directly under it, which is only about an inch or two away.
