should I still use D3?

Certainly the amount of D3 does vary between brands. Rep-Cal has 400,000 IU/kg of D3 whereas Miner-All (I) has 4,400 IU/kg of D3 and I think 150IU D3 in Nutribol. But as we're talking about only supplementing a little bit "just in case" expecting the chameleon to get several hours of real sunlight daily, the amount of supplementation needed should be fairly low, compared to his normal indoor winter routine? So whatever you have worked out to be the appropriate amount for indoors, id say cut it at least in half.

Ok will do!! thanks for everyones replys!!!:D

Well not saying this person is or isn't on the ball... but if someone hardly gave any Miner-All and then stepped it down to once a month.... The cham wasn't really ever getting very much and now with the sun helping I am sure the cham will do better. but if the cham was getting the Rep-Cal then the levels might be lower than the animal is used to.

But might work itself out since they can bask and not bask to regulate the D3 the cham produces.

I have been warned before that it would not be a good idea to supplement Rep-Cal the day of or before direct sun exposure... could be a lot for the cham to handle if he/she can't find shade.

I think there is a lot out there that we don't know about how much D3 they should get... A big reason for having the D3 supplementation is that if they don't' get direct sun and say the UVB lamp isn't strong enough..... then they get a little boost. If you have pretty decent lighting and UVB levels for your cham you may or may not need to supplement as often. It is a precautionary measure to supplement with D3.
