very new, just added a mister and also more high logs and vines to this photo. It was nice to sort of half do the decor to see what he needed/was missing. Need a tall plant on the right I think. Have plastic vine in until some ivy grows but need to find a hibiscus. Hard to get the balance of these plants will grow and he needs coverage. Also fig leaves seem to hate the heat lamp so I would plant that so close when we re jig it all for his big home once he’s older.

This is for my mourning geckos (not quite what you asked for, I know). It's got maranta, peperomia caperata, begonia rex, rhipsalis capilliformis, rhipsalis micrantha, haworthia cymbiformis, transcadentia fluminensis, transcadentia pallida, philodendron 'Brazil,' epiphylum oxypetalum, 'Black Pearl's pepper, and fittonia. All these but the pepper plant would be safe for a chameleon enclosure.
It's got springtails and Porcellio laevis for a CUC; other bioactive setups I've tried were completely taken over by buffalo beetles and Porcellio pruinosis, so I didn't add them this time. I was also worried dermestids might nibble the tender gecko flesh, so they were also excluded.
I let the plants settle for 2 weeks before adding isopods/springtails, during which time there was a fungal bloom (which is normal). The microfauna got the tank to themselves for another month before I added the geckos, during which time the mushrooms got under control and haven't made a reappearance.

Very very nice! Gives me lots of ideas for when I give my panther a bioactive and don’t have as much worry about plant eating.
