I'm in the market for a cage and nothing really seems to have all the features that I want. =( I'd like a whole hood/canopy hiding the lights and wires, a proper drainage system, and for it to just look pretty and not like something out of a mad scientist's lab! These are just my preferences, however I've never worked with...well..anything before so I'm afraid I'll do something wrong.

With that being said, show me your DIY projects, pretty or not! Please tell me a little about them, and how much they roughly cost!

Here is something a little different. I wanted to give my Jackson (Reggie Jackson) a nice big cage, however, the wire racks I use are not big enough for two XL cages, only an XL and a large.

The solution I came up with was combining two large cages, half on one rack and the other half on the other. I bridged the gap with laundry bag material, which is really easy to work with and has proved pretty durable / mold resistant. I keep one large cage cool and damp and the other warmer and dryer so he can go back and forth between the two climates. He used to climb all over the screen, but now he just explores by vine

They arent quite finished yet, as i have to get trim to cover the mesh on the outside, but they work for now.

Sorry Dan! I hate being that new member that doesn't do a forum search first. Ive done them for other things, and I'm on tons of other forums for different things, but the search function on this forum rarely gives me anything remotely close to what I'm looking for. Maybe I'm doing it wrong here?

Anyways, I've already looked through those threads, I was just hoping for more. Thanks for sharing your cages, deadhd and camimom! =)

Made it out of a china cabinet paid 40 for it and about 55 for for screen and plants,vines and every thing else.
