Sick can need antibiotic

I was at the vet today.The vet visit went great! I live in sweden and the vet got all exited when she saw my little cham I Got some atibiotic and i need to drip it in to his mounth every day for 14 days. Do anybody know how to open a 3month old chameleons mouth without hurting him? Please give me som tips

Can you make him mad to get him to open? If not gently pull down on the skin under his mouth to open it or inject the meds into a feeder and give it to him that way......that's what I do. You just need to make sure he's hungry and feed the feeder fast before the meds kill the feeder. Also keep him well hydrated while on the antibiotic because they can dehydrate him.

okey, i cant get him mad beacuase he's really really kind sometimes he just hiss at me but it have only happened two times.. so should i just put the antibiotic in a cricket? and feed him? When you say (keep him hydrated) what do you meen? I mist every day and he has a dripper and he's poop is always white. thanks

It just means to make sure he is drinking. The medicines dehydrate them to it's important to make sure they get a little more water than normal.

Most chameleons will gape if they're restrained . Try holding him in one hand with just his head exposed that usually does it for most of mine.
