Sick chameleon

I’m not sure if it’s just the pic but can you measure her uvi strength? Her branch seems far away from the light ( from the photo angle maybe) and wondering if she is not getting enough uvb… just a thought. Also it’s best to try and have them fed earlier than 4pm. It gives them time to bask and help digest the food if done earlier. I feed all my guys before 8 when I leave for work or by 1 on weekends. Just a recommendation, I don’t think it’s affecting her situation currently.
Still hoping something comes to light with her, she’s a pretty little lady.

The decrease in her appetite could be normal as adults they only need 3-4 bugs every 2-3 days. Depending on the size of course. Smaller bugs can be a few more but she definitely doesn’t need 10-20 a day. Plus bigger diets produce more eggs and that is not something we want for our ladies long term health.

It’s only about 8 inches away from the light, & I changed the bulb. And she ate at 930 & 330-4 when my daughter got home from school

Thanks! The vet had told me when they are 6-12 months to feed them as much as they would eat, so I would 😭

Here is the recommended lay bin that works well for many here on the forum. When she’s ready , I think maybe her current bin could be a little deeper. About 6in deep of soil mixture.
I looked over your husbandry and it looks pretty good. Just touching on things that pop out to me. I’m not that experienced on full husbandry reviews but I try to help where I can 😄

no worries, it’s a common confliction. Drs have what they need to recommend, keepers go by experience, and it has seemed to work for a long time so I understand the confusion. lol
