Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Panther | Female | 9 months old | 3 months in my care
Handling - Not often but sometimes. She calms down a lot once shes in my hands.
Feeding - Crickets gutloaded with cricket crack along with dubia roaches.
Supplements - I do 4 parts calcium no d3 1 part calcium with d3 and another part multivitamin.
Watering - I have a monsoon water system probably 3-4 times a day misting. I see her drink sometimes. Her poop indicates she is hydrated.
Fecal Description - Not a lot of poop as she hasn't been eating much at all. Her urate is white though. She has not been tested for parasites.
History - She's been on baytril for 5 days now. The vet wasn't sure exactly what it was but thought it could be bacterial. I've seen her eat twice and she had three crickets today. The problem is she either misses them a lot or she shoots her tongue out too far simply knocking the cricket off the vine.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Dragonstrand medium tall breeding cage.
Lighting - Arcadia 6% under six months old. 12 hours lights on 12 off.
Temperature - Temp in my room is around 77 degrees outside of the tank. About 85-95 in basking area.
Humidity - Just checked and its 29% in my room. I literally just bought a nice big humidifier. Should be up there in a while.
Plants - I'm not using live plants.
Placement - The cages are 4 feet off the floor.
Location - The northeast US.

Current Problem - She's still not eating much. Her second day on baytril i saw her eat two crickets. I didn't see her eat any more till today which is day 5 and I believe she's had four today. I may be missing her eat at night. She misses sometimes when shooting her tongue. She waves her hands at branches that are too far away for her to grasp. She will shoot her tongue at a cricket on a branch and its like she's extending it too far just knocking it off the vine rather than hitting it and pulling back immediately. It's like her depth perception is off. She also has one eye closed sometimes. What's also odd is her colors aren't really dark. She has calm colors most of the time.

I also have another panther which has a sore in his mouth that the vet said was most likely from a cricket biting him while he was eating it and he has been on baytril. He's eating normally and has no eye problems / depth perception problems. He just shows colors that are a few shades darker than usual.

Update again | She's eaten 6/7 crickets today with none that I know of since 4 days ago. She still has the depth perception problem. All crickets eaten must be within 2 inches of her for her to hit them. She barely grabs them at 2 inches.

Update: She's using the vine to scratch her eyes. Don't see how it could be bacterial since she's been on baytril 5 days now.

I had a tongue issue with my previous cham but it was the opposite, she couldn't extend her tongue!
Sorry to hear that, I can't help, so many things can cause tongue problems...
Did you take her to the vet? May be a blood test can help! It can be vitamin deficiency... Although your supplementation sounds good, but it all depends which brand you use. There are stronger and less strong vitamins.
I suggest to take her to the vet! Sorry! :(
But it's a good sign that she eats!

Ya I took her to the vet. She wasn't sure what it was but guessed it was an infection of some sort. I'm hoping its just some sort of virus going around.

Oh so the vet gave her the baytril for that? Sorry I misunderstood. Do you have any specialist around? I messaged to a specialist in Florida when I had to deal with tongue problem but he said without checking her out he can't help....
Sometimes anti-inflammatory drops help.. But you can never know. Can you vet do bloodtest?

Ya I went five days ago. She works with reptiles. I had an eye problem with a lizard a month ago and she made me a nice formula of low dose baytril along with liquid vit A / calcium. I'm not sure if she can do a blood test but I'm going to go back in around 10 days depending on how they are doing. I'm going to wait the 10 days of baytril then 5 more to see what direction she's going.

Do that! Keep us updated though! I'd like to know how she's doing!
I hope she is going to be fine soon!
This whole problem started from one day to another?

Slowly started to show signs over the period of a week then they flattened. Now she's getting better. Hopefully tomorrow she continues eating. I'll update tomorrow.

She hasn't eaten today. Quick question for another cham I have. Does rubbing eye = vit a deficiency or is it only sunken eyes? Is it normal for them to sometimes just rub it? I have a cham that can see very well but I just saw him rub his eye and I don't want him going down the same path my female has. He is on baytril already.

Also I have herpvite vitamin supplement. It says it uses a different form of vit A so that the body regulates it and he wont die from overdose. Is it fine to dust for a few days in a row with my chams eye problem?
