Signs of stress

I heard that if you cham turns black it means they are stressed. Is that true? Have you noticed any particular signs that let you know when they are unhappy?

Panthers tend to sometimes do this. I've seem my 4month old panther turn dark brown to black when I put him back in his enclosure at night. When taken out he changes to a white, grey, blue. I dont think it is stress. He is very healthy. What Cham do you have and when does he turn black?

I have a baby jackson's. He turns black a lot i'm afraid: when my cats are getting to close to the cage, when anyone trys to handle him, if you move the cage, or vacuum.
