Silkworm fear or love?

Hi all! So my ambilobe panther, Pascal, acts really funny when I offer him silkworms. Sometimes he approaches them slowly & turns insanely beautiful colors for his age (he's about 6 months old and will turn shades of vibrant yellow, oranges, red...like a sunset) and sometimes he steers clear & flares up when he sees them. I'm not offering him large worms or anything..it's just kind of strange. He doesnt have any eating issues; he eats crickets that are gut loaded with dry super gut load from Repashy as well as graded carrots, oranges, apples, red & green leaf lettuce (no spinach or broccoli); I'm just attempting to vary his diet & keep his nutrition balanced & healthy. He will however, eat them out of my hand at times when I offer them to him. Any thoughts or similar experiences? I'm not concerned for him- more like what the heck am I going to do with all these growing silkies!!!

My 4 month old Nosy Be Panther likes them. He doesn't go nuts over them but will eat them if they move around a little. The ones I've had are very mobile so I started holding them with my feeder tongs next to the inside of the screen cage (I try to do this close to Ego my Panther). They will grasp the screen and seem to move more when on the screen than when I just set them on a limb.

Good luck,

Some of my chams will not eat them from their feeding cups or when I put them in the branches to be hunted down, but will eat them from my hand. Weird.
