We had McLellan’s and McCrory’s. I can’t recall which, but one had a little ice cream counter in it. Good memories of being dragged to those stores by my mom. I vaguely remember the turtles. I got a goldfish from one...it died.
I guess now the dollar stores and 5 Below are the replacements.

Yeah... I think you're probably right, but... Just not the same... Whole different ambience.
And by comparison, the dime stores (a.k.a. five & dimes) were HUGE!
I remember a couple that were 3 floors—B, 1 & 2, and each floor was easily 5-8 times the size of a dollar store.

I took that picture of that particular red head. Sadly aside from their pretty colors, their personalities are lacking. Allegedly other agama species have a better disposition

They seem to have really grown overnight. WOW!
Pic 1 was yesterday before all the extra activities on here.
Pic 2 and 3 is today..

Just remember, there has been movement so the one by the quarter might not be the same one today.

How do you mean? Handleability? Interaction? They're not little asshats?

Serious: the two I have stress very easily, to the point that your anti social chameleons seem like the life of the party. I cannot even enter the room with a serious panic reaction. (I'd say they are close to wild caught trioceros hoehnelii in their stress response towards humans.)

When handled and restrained they "give up" and shut down almost immediately, a lesser educated individual would think it likes them.

Wild individuals of the species do NOT like people, no matter how many bugs you throw at them, while nearly every other lizard even the tiny anoles will be pestering you for more

They are very beautiful reptiles but horrible unless you can keep them in a quiet room and watching them from afar.

I will acknowledge that it maybe possible to befriend them, however every "tame" red head agama I've seen online is being kept in very inadequate environmental conditions, and likely lacks the strength to resist anymore, rather than lack of desire to.

I actually broke it down which means some might not have known.. I keep things very easy.. There are a few Dr.'s in the family that throw out some words that are a little confusing. But enjoy figuring them out.
