Silkworms in Refrigerator

I just got a 100 small silkworms, but I only got 1 little cham, who will probably not eat all of them if I let them grow. So, Will refrigerator temp slow down their growing process? And, will they survive in there? Thanks.

nope, thats too cold unfortunatley..you can put them in an incubator if you have one and keep them at 70 degrees, and regulate how much they eat every day, but thats about it..good news is they dont grow like horn worms, they stay small and grow pretty slow if only fed so much and have "cooler" temperatures

Will my 3 mo old be able to chew on bigger ones? Also how long will they leave without their food? And, can I feed them regular veggies as for crickets, roaches, etc.

IMO the easiest way to deal with the issue, is just go get more chameleons.
That way you get to use all of the worms.

no, they will only eat mulberry. you have to order the chow from where you got them from or find a mulberry bush and feed the leaves. A member on here said they eat dandelion leaves and shaved carrots but I think that is temporary if run out of mulberry. They will not live on that for any long period of time I don't think.

ive never tried the dandelion trick...?? i may try next batch i order, but yes^^ they wont live too long without food, all you can really do is just remove them from the shipping container with food, put them in a new container, and put small spoon fulls in a day, see what they eat , and how fast then slow them down a tad..(clean them everyday for poos and waste...and dead, if you have dead)..good luck

I just separated some to different container. The dark green, sticky stuff that's chow, and black little round things are poo, correct? Thanks.
