Silly Dubia question

I was cleaning out my dubia bin and noticed an adult female that was walking around all messed up. I don't usually feed off my adults, but figured, why not?
I hand fed her to Gonzo, my Panther cham and when he took his fist chomp, her egg sack thing came out. I took it and put it in the bin. Does it have any chance of turning into babies?
It appeared fully formed and looked just like they do when you see others pictures of a dubia "giving birth"
I would have let him eat it, but it slid out so easily and into my hand.

No chance. Usually the female retains the ooth(egg case) inside her till they catch and she gives "live birth". The case no longer being inside her would die i'd assume.

Yea that's the reason they don't lay the eggs, because inside the female, they stay warm. Sometimes you can see her protruding the ootheca and this is to regulate the temperature of the babies. So long story short, like others have said, if it falls out of the female, they're as good as dead.:)

Gonzo seemed to enjoy eating 25 - 40 nymphs tucked in a nice ootheca wrapper!!! :D
I saw the little white buggers too. I guess they were close to coming out? Maybe mom was walking weird from "labor pains"??? :)
