Silly stubborn Dilly bean!

Technically veiled babies should sell depending on what you ask for them. Also what is the lineage of the parents? I would strongly recommend not hiding the fact if they are a pet store lineage and stuff. If you raise the babies right they would still be tons healthier than the babies sold in most stores... Sadly

They are absolutely perfect big chain lizards! No idea on the lineage at all. To collectors they're probably nothing special but damned if they aren't special to me!

55!! A pretty big first clutch! Any ideas on fertility? They're a pretty light beige color, shells are fuller and firmer than I had expected.

And just because they don't have special lineage or come from breeder isnt anything bad at all. The fact is, if the babies are fertile what people want in a chameleon is a "friendly" one. You can easily raise the babies if you get any, to make them more comfortable with handling so they don't stress about it.

If I have tiny baby grabby toes, they will be very used to handling!! I can't even imagine selling them, they'd be adopted out to capable owners.

In a few days, hold the eggle up to the light and see if anything shows! i dont know if this works with chameleon/reptile eggles also but it works with chickens and chickens are just feathery dinos and reptiles are just scaley dinos???

I'll try to candle them in a week to look for blood vessels, but in all reality I'll be on the forums for opinions!

It should start to show in a week or so I think. They usually mold too if they aren't fertilized or just generally dead. So they can easily take care of themselves in a way lol.

What do you have the eggs setting in it kind of looks like small pebbles. I have always used something like vermiculite because it will hold moisture which is necessary too keep the eggs from drying out. I found it best to keep enough moisture in the laying container to keep it around 70-80% humidity. You don't want it soaking, but moist.

The substrate is perlite, it's similar to vermiculite I believe.
