Size of Food.

My chameleon is somewhat small and at the moment he will eat nothing bigger than pinhead crickets...My boyfriend and i have tried introducing a larger cricket into the environment because he's not tiny and I worry about his protein/calcium levels. We are planning to get some dubia's but i worry that he won't eat them because of the size. He is about 2 to 2.5 months old. Is he just turned off by the medium sized crickets or is it something else? If you wanna see the cage setup my boyfriend posted them on cage improvements by volcom 137z.

Is he truly eatting pins or are they closer to 10 day crix. Because very often you will be sold pins but in actuality those are really 1wk to 10 day old cricks. At 2 mos he shoudl be able to take down a 10 day old crick. Unless he's a runt or a slow grower.
I dont usually start trying dubias until they are past the pinhead stage. Show a pic of the cham so we can get an idea of his size....

sorry this is the only picture i have right now.

My little guy is only a little older, he's been feeding pretty happily on 1/4 inch crickets, stick insect nymphs and wax moths as hand fed treats, but he is a little intimidated by medium-large crickets. If he doesn't feel comfortable with larger prey yet, just try increasing the quantity :)
