Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veil, male, and approx 2-3 months. Been in your care for 9 days?

Handling - Try to handle once a day if that...and thats only to monitor his feedings if I do because he is smaller than I ordered.

Feeding - At the moment crickets and mealworms. I have a order for other stuff but it hasnt come in yet. I am gutloading the crickets with fruits/veggies and following the gutloading instructions on this forum

Supplements - Rep cal brands - calcium only each feeding, calcium with d3 and multi vit twice a month but because i havent had him long i am setting him up on the 1st and 15th for that. I am offering food 3 times a day. He is usually eating 3-5 crickets a day and 1-3 mealworms a day although he is offered more crickets

Watering - currently hand misting at least 4-6 times a day, first couple days i seen him drink, now i mist and try to leave him be. mist for 1-2 mins, sometimes longer depending on him. I have a order in place for a AZ

Fecal Description - Cannot find any and have asked about this, said it could be really small and im not finding it or taking longer since he is small and new . I have pulled out the plants and havent noticed anything.... i am not sure with him being small and the water could it wash it out and make it smaller?

Cage Info:
Cage Type - screen 2x2x4 - however I do monitor feedings/temp/humidy etc since its larger.

Lighting - Lights on at 8am and off at 8pm, repti sun 5.0 and basking bulb, will have to look at box/bulb for that info

Temperature - have a few different gauges in cage, floor is about 75, middle/top is about 80 and basking is about 83-85
I have also noticed the last few days he is climbing the top of screen and going right under basking bulb.

Humidity - gauge, lowest is 40 however it usually stays about 50-65% now and then reaches 70% - misting and live plants

Plants - all live plants and a few articifical branches -

Location - Northern CA

Current Problem - I am checking to see if overall he looks ok... looks hydrated, etc. sometimes his skin looks smooth and other times not and anything else you guys might notice.

am i doing something wrong, can i do something better for him, should i try the shower method to see?

is it possible he is getting ready to shed? I am trying to read up on shedding info.

Thank you both!

You can add me to the worried 1st time "Mom"

At least I know for next time :D

This is how I came to find him. He had a good portion already off but still have some good amount remaining. I made sure to let him be after that and have some time and gave a few extra warm mistings which seems to make him a little happier

I love the way chams shed. For my python its a few day event, get ready, stop eating, work your way out of the old skin. The chams just seem to burst out of their old skin in a few hours, talk about a growth spurt.
