I was on Snapchat and found that one my friends had posted somthing along the lines of this: "my chameleon won't eat or drink and now her leg is broken" I replied with "I'm so sorry, I hope she gets better" and he said he didn't have the money to fix her and I immediately knew I couldn't let her die without a fight and I was equipped to handle her so I offered to take her. care for her, and pay for her vet bills, he thanked me and we got her 2 days later.

We got Sky
--September 18th--
We scheduled a vet appointment early morning and got in that same day. we got there we waited in the room until the doctor met with us. She winced at the sight of Sky. She knew it was bad. She started asking questions like "how old is she" and "where she came from" after that, she took an X-ray of her, and showed us. She sighed before she started to explain. She confirmed that she not only had Metabolic Bone Disease and a broken leg but she was egg bound, but she was to weak to lay the eggs. She was given a low rate of surviving this. Besides that, she gave us a formula to feed her daily via syringe and a calcium supplement to help her get stronger.
--September 19th--
We offered live food every day but she refused. Except one day she ate one cricket, after that she didn't take any more, she did drink on her own thought.
--a month later--
She was showing signs of laying her eggs so we got exited. But she never did..
--November 5th--
She stopped eating, drinking, and the vet gave her 2 more weeks to live (she said fasting can be a sign of laying eggs )
--November 15th--
We reported to the vet that she wasn't snowing any signs of laying at this point and just refused to eat, drink or move so we scheduled a euthanization appointment for her 6 days from Nov. 15th
--November 17th-- I set up her daily food and went to her cage to try and feed her. She had died that morning, there was no pain, her heart just stopped while she was sleeping..
She fought for nearly 8
weeks,
I'll never forget her.
