sleeping cham popping out eyes

So I've noticed this a few times and I was wondering if it's normal. I have a male veiled and at night when he is sleeping sometimes his eyes kind of pop way out of his head, like they "bulge" out of his head. They look like gumdrops, it's the weirdest thing, I never thought it was a problem because he is completely healthy, doing all the normal cham activities, eating, drinking, pooing, climbing, hissing. Is this normal for his eyes to be doing this? does anyone's cham do this to?

One night I even picked him up and woke him up, I felt bad but had to make sure he was fine, and as soon as I woke him up his eyes "retracted" or went back in to "normal" if that makes sense.

my first veiled used to do this sometimes. I am not sure if it is a sign of something bad... but she seemed ok eye wise...

What kind of lights do you use?

This is completely normal... My male veilds eyes bug out whenever he sleeps with his head downward... seems like all the blood is rushing to his head... who knows :)

See Ya,

Todd

If he is in good health and his eyes are functioning well and alert during daytime, everything should be okay:)

Ok well I guess that's reassuring? The lights I use are 5.0 repti sun tube and 75 w bulb.

Well to be a little bit reassuring, make sure his temps are about 90's and the 5.0 should be good for the little guy. Not to "reassuring" but hey, thats all I can tell ya.
