If they sleep in weird positions could that mean something is wrong.? Random and probably stupid question, but just wondering. Tini usually sleeps all curled up, but Reno (the new baby vieled) sleeps....rather oddly. Is it normal for them to sleep in weird positions.? Or could something be wrong.?

I don't think so. most of my chams go to their special night night spot when they are ready for bed. my male veiled el grumpo is weird when i turn off his lights no matter were in the cage he is at when the lights go off so does he. he just goes to sleep some times hiding sometimes upside down or while in the middle of doing something. but thats just his thing so i don't bother him its just the way he is.

Thanks. :) lol.

Oh and the ant was on the outside of his terrarium, and died. :) So does anyone think this is weird and possibly bad.? When I first walked in tonight I thought he was dead...lol.

He's new and he's young....both reasons he might sleep weird. All of mine have slept weird at first. They usually settle down later.

Okay. lol. Just making sure. :) It's quite entertaining. He just started doing this. The first couple nights he would just stretch himself out all the way, and only curl the very tip of his tail. And now the last two night...this. I was like...huh.? How is that comfortable.? And how do you hold on.?

he's a cute little guy very bright in color to see him sleep in odd positions kinda makes me feel he feels comfortable in his new home.

Lol. Maybe. Who knows. But thank you on the compliment. I kind of seems to reflect his crazy personality. He always shows those oranges, I don't know why...

Yeah...I don't quite see how he thinks it's comfortable...lol. :)

Well my Nosy Be Sleeps upside down from time to time wakes up time to time and he's like "WTF" then lets go of the vine but has his tail wrapped around the vine still like he is pulling a ninja move I should record a video sometime when he goes to sleep upside down again.

haha, Cute photos!! I'm sure everything is okay, my male will sleep in the weirdest positions that i'm sure cannot be comfortable in the very least. He's fallen asleep on a leaf before, which was bent over and nearly broke from his weight, the leaf never recovered. he's fallen asleep upside down facing straight up and down, and upside down hanging on the underside of a branch, which worried me slightly but it turns out he was fine.

I'm sure everything is okay with your little cutie. just watch for other signs of weakness or illness if you are still concerned in case of the habit returning. If there are no other signs of illness i would assume that things are alright and its just a habit.

just wanted to add that I have found that when they are young they don't really have that internal clock that says " Hey the lights should be going off better get to bed" this is something I have found they take some time to learn. so I would say because he is young it is totally normal. and probably means he didn't get to find a good spot to sleep. as he gets older he will sleep in less and less "weird" positions. He looks so cute though :)
