Sleeping Position

I just bought my panther ambilobe chameleon today and I was wondering if they sleep instantly when they get in the sleeping position or do they chill for a few minutes

Thank you so much

ive walked in the room to see mine in their sleeping position and colors and they are looking at me like "what the hell are you doing in my room after dark?!"

My cham counts crickets to help him get to sleep.:D When he does fall asleep, it looks like it takes awhile for him to fall asleep. When he first looks like he snoozes, he always will open an eye if I walk up close to him. My panther is a light sleeper. I had a male Quad who fell asleep and you can practically knock him off the branch, and he would barely bat an eye.

All of my chams que up and chill in their favorite spot and roll their tails up about 30 minutes before lights out. I could almost set my watch by it ;)
So yeah, they are still awake when the lights (on a timer) go out and I cover them up for extra secure privacy :)

What's odd is, they change their favorite sleeping spot over time, as they age

mine's usually a light sleeper, so if I come in late & briefly switch the lights on he wakes & gives me sleepy evils. Last night he was out cold though, so cute :D

My Ringo boy hangs from his pothos pot and his branch and sleeps like that. Or the other day when he thought the window was an awesome place to sleep he was tucked under the blinds hanging onto the window where it opens... good thing we dont open those window o_O

My panther cross will get ready for bed in sleeping position an hour before the lights go out, and then once his lights turn off,his body temp drops and he's out cold once you see his sleeping colors: white background with red tiger stripes! I love his PJ's lol:p

Karma usually has his one spot every night. Bobo on the other hand sleeps weird. He's hung from his tail from the MistKing nozzle like a possom, upside down on a plant, and on a branch staring directly at me sleeping. His cage is a foot from my bed. Usually they're asleep within 2 minutes of the light being off.
